Perfectly round golden drumsticks on tall, bare, wiry stems cheerful in a way that’s hard not to smile at, and completely unlike anything else in the garden. A favourite for cutting because they last for weeks in water, then dry beautifully if left in the vase, holding their colour and shape for a year or more. Happiest in a hot, dry, well-drained spot where plenty of other things sulk.
